3 pages in length. If it only takes a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch, then Rod Blagojevich and his cohorts in corruption have poisoned the entire content of Illinois' political barrel. Indeed, the political arena would not be its true self if there were no prominent politicians constantly getting into legal trouble for misappropriation of funds, lying or insider deal-making, yet the former Illinois governor left nary an offense off his long list of transgression that ultimately landed him and a half a dozen of his closest criminal associates with indictments for "a wide-ranging scheme to deprive the people of Illinois of honest government" (Samborn, 2009).
