The Myth Of The American Frontier

A 4 page paper discussing the conquering of the West. The adventure mystique of the frontier still exists, as does admiration for the individuals strong enough to leave behind them everything known, setting out for territory few even had seen. They left safe homes for whatever awaited them on the trail West, but now the conquest is colored with cultural embarrassment for the manner in which it was accomplished. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
