Saks Fifth Avenue / Improving Customer Relations Increase Sales
A 9 page paper which primarily examines how increased customer service efforts at Saks Fifth Avenue chains have improved the retail chain's image and greatly augmented sales at the same time. In response to a previous decline in sales, Saks has added a greater amount of accommodations for customers, stopped charging women for alterations, improved record-keeping procedures, and re-trained employees in customer service-related skills & techniques. It is concluded that Sax Fifth Avenue is one of few companies that has managed to successfully "turn around" yesterday's failure to mind the needs of consumers. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
