Comparison/ Huck Finn, East of Eden, The Hamlet
An 11 page research paper that compares The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain), East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and The Hamlet by William Faulkner. The writer argues that while the protagonists from these novels are quite different, each author, to a certain extent, portrayed how the character of a young male might develop under adverse circumstances. Specifically, each of these young protagonists grew up exposed to what can be justifiably called some of the worst parenting depicted in American literature. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
