The extent to which Soares Prabhu (1992) attributes all of Jesus' actions toward the poor as practical application is both grand and far-reaching; that he "distinguishes their pedagogical features as identifying with the poor, active and affective concern" (Joseph, no date) speaks to the nature of his quest to remedy social poverty and appeal for spiritual deliverance.
