Software Factories

A 12 page paper discussing building an e-commerce application based on software factories. The standard method of software development is one that, compared to other business functions that demand speed, efficiency and value instead delivers slipped schedules, high cost and often poor quality. The use of software factories can greatly shorten development time, reduce development costs and improve quality, and in fact has the ability to transform the software development paradigm. The purpose here is to explore software factories, issues leading to their emergence and then designing an e-commerce application with software factories central to its business.
