Napoleon and the Battle of Austerlitz
This 5 page report discusses The Battle of Austerlitz which took place on December 2, 1805, between the French forces led by Napoleon and the allied forces of the Russians and Austrians. The battle has often been referred to as “The Battle of the Three Emperors” because Napoleon, Francis I of Austria, and Alexander I of Russia were all present on the field. Historical records show that an estimated 9,000 Frenchmen were killed while approximately 25,000 of the Austrian and Russian soldiers died. It was a remarkable and tactical success for the French.
