Classical Athens: City Morphology, Archaeology, and Cultural Influences
A 10 page assertion that the manner in which the classical Athens was constructed and laid out, i.e. its morphology and design, could be contended to be integrally connected to Athenian culture and political venue. This paper emphasizes that Athens was the administrative, economic, cultural, and intellectual center of Greece and, in many ways, of the world as a whole. Observations are included as to the importance of city morphology, art, and the influence of more ancient cultures, on the lives of Athenians. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
