Epic Heroes in Epic Literature
This 5 page report discusses the
heroes or archetypes of epic literature. Because archetypes
travel beyond time and space, modern humanity is able to better
understand ancient humanity and the simple fact that the most
essential problems of life are bound up in the continuity of the
eternal problems of mankind, as they are mirrored in myths.
“The Epic of Gilgamesh,” “The Illiad,” “The Odyssey,” and “The
Song of Roland” are discussed. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
