Willy Loman: Accidental Infidel
(8 pp) When an extramarital affair is discovered,
often the couple will undergo a crisis. This may
not sound surprising. However, this crisis can be
the most difficult part of the issue. The 'injured'
spouse may feel emotionally abandoned by the other

image of marriage, of her/his marriage.

guilt and defensiveness.' Recurrent and persistent
thoughts about the situation can sometimes
interfere with a person's ability to function.
Individuals may have difficulty working, taking
care of themselves and/or their families, etc.
when such grief and reflection plague them. Few of
any of these principles apply to the salesman,
