Chronic Pain and the Family
A 15 page paper discussing the effects of chronic pain from a psychological perspective. Chronic pain can create long-lasting psychological effects on the individual suffering from it, effects that persist even in those cases where the pain can be long term, but nonetheless temporary. It has been demonstrated that such long-lasting pain can create changes that are difficult to overcome long after the pain has been resolved. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
